  • NO DRIVING ON THE BEACH EXCEPT TO LAUNCH A BOAT. 20,000 MTS FINE IF CAUGHT. DRIVING ON THE BEACH IS ILLEGAL.

  • NO JET SKIS PERMITTED IN FRONT OF CAMP – THIS IS A SAFE BATHING AREA.

  • DO NOT PARK UNDER COCONUT TREES OR YOUR WINDSCREEN COULD BE SMASHED.

  • GUT FISH OUT TO SEA WHEREVER POSSIBLE TO AVOID SMELLING BINS IN CAMP – NO BOTTOM FISHING.

  • BOAT/FISHING LICENCES ARE AVAILABLE AT RECEPTION OR FROM MARITIME OFFICIAL.THE MARITIME AUTHORITIES WILL FINE YOU IF CAUGHT WITHOUT ONE.

  • NO 4X4 REQUIRED.

  • PLUG SOCKETS ARE MAINLY SA 3 PIN ROUND, WITH SOME 2 PRONG AND A FEW SQUARE PIN. WE HAVE 220 VOLT POWER FULL TIME EXCEPT FOR OCCASIONAL GOVERNMENT POWER CUTS.

  • CAMP SITE POWER POINTS ARE CENTRALLY LOCATED - BRING LONG EXTENSION CABLE. (NO HEATING APPLIANCES ALLOWED) 

  • GOOD CELL SIGNAL AT THE TOP NEAR THE RESTAURANT FROM MOVITEL AND VODACOM, WE ALSO SELL WIFI VOUCHERS FROM THE RECEPTION, LIMITED SIGNAL DOWN IN THE CAMP EXCEPT IN CERTAIN AREAS. FULL SIGNAL AT RESTAURANT/BAR AREA.

  • PLEASE LAUNCH FROM THE DESIGNATED LAUNCH SITE, 800 METRES DOWN THE BEACH TO THE NORTH.

  • DOMESTIC WORKERS ARE AVAILABLE AT A DAILY RATE, BOOK AT RECEPTION. DOMESTICS TO BE PAID FOR AT RECEPTION. DO NOT PAY THEM DIRECT.

  • CHARCOAL/ICE/FIREWOOD AVAILABLE FROM RECEPTION. ICE IS LIMITED/RATIONED IN BUSY SEASON. TAKE YOUR COLEMAN.

  • PLEASE USE WATER SPARINGLY DURING PEAK SEASON -NO HOSEPIPES FOR WASHING VEHICLES AND BOATS. USE BUCKETS ONLY.

  • PLEASE DONT LITTER.  

  • WE TRY DISCOURAGE TOURISTS FROM BUYING SHELLS AND UNDERSIZED CRAYFISH FROM THE LOCALS. DON’T INVITE VENDORS INTO THE CAMP.THERE ARE LOCAL BAKERIES WHICH PRODUCE FRESH PAO (LOCAL ROLLS ) DAILY JUST OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE. LOCAL FISH , PRAWNS AND CRAYFISH ARE SOLD BY HAWKERS ON THE BEACH. DO NOT INVITE THEM INTO THE CAMP. BARTER ON THE BEACH OFF OUR PROPERTY.

  • WE HAVE A SEASONAL RESTAURANT/BAR.  PRE-ORDERING IS ESSENTIAL. CLOSED DURING QUIET SEASON.

  • QUAD BIKES AND MOTOR BIKES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CAMP.

  • OUR WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK. IT IS FROM OUR OWN BOREHOLE. NO NEED TO LUG LOADS OF WATER BOTTLES.

  • BRING LOTS OF SUNBLOCK, INSECT REPELLANT AND FLY SPRAY

  • BRING A BRAAI CLAMP TO PUT YOUR MEAT AND WORS INTO TO USE ON TOP OF THE BRAAI.

  • BRING TORCHES AND RECHARGABLE LIGHTS IN CASE OF POWER OUTAGE.

  • MASSINGA IS THE CLOSEST TOWN TO US 20 KMS AWAY.  YOU CAN BUY MANY BASICS THERE, BRING ALL YOUR REFRIDGERATED GOODS AS THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE LOCALLY. 

  • CANNED BEERS AND SOFT DRINKS AVAILABLE IN TOWN. 

  • NO MEAT AVAILABLE LOCALLY EXCEPT FOR FROZEN CHICKEN.

  • ​WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE.

  • FIREWORKS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Cancellation Policy

To secure your reservation a non-refundable 50% deposit is payable to our account. All payments i.e bank transfers, cash bank deposits etc. must include all bank charges. If we have not received your deposit within 5 days of receiving your booking quote it will automatically be cancelled without further notice. The balance of the cost of the booking is due in full 90 days prior to arrival date. Bookings are on a first come first served basis. It is ESSENTIAL that you use your SURNAME/ACCOM type as a reference on the deposit slip. Cancellations must be in writing. If the customer cancels the agreement after payment of the deposit and before 90 days from the arrival date the customer will be charged 50% of the total price. If the customer cancels the agreement less than 90 days before the arrival date then the customer will be liable for 100% of the total invoice. No date changes or variations 90 days before arrival unless in low season. A 20% admin fee will be charged for any changes made to your original booking.

 

You are liable to pay for the full number of nights and people you have pre- booked. Non arrival - you will forfeit your payment. Late arrival or early departure – no refund. For Late arrivals 24 hours grace from arrival date will be granted. The resort reserves the right to cancel your reservation and place other clients in/on your chalet/campsite for the duration of your reservation, should you not arrive within the 24-hour period or advise accordingly. Should payments not be received as per the deposit due date schedule, the booking will automatically be cancelled, with forfeiture of all amounts paid. The deposit is forfeited for events beyond our control i.e. threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, road conditions, natural disasters, fire, health risks, injury or death, actual or potential severe weather conditions, governmental action and any other similar unexpected events. Travelers are strongly advised to take out adequate travel insurance.
